The Word of Faith movement, including the so-called "Health and Wealth Gospel" is the fastest growing "Christian" movement in the world. But what is the Biblical basis for these beliefs ? Do we really have the ability to create our own future through speaking positive words ? Does God really desire that all of his children should be rich, healthy and have perfect relationships in this world ? Or is the Bible being misused to distort the nature of God and provide false hope, destroying lives in the process ? This three part series in February will critique the Word of Faith movement and explore what the Bible really says about our ability to shape our future, and how God really views poverty and sickness.
